Whether you have lived here for 5 months or 50 years, it's easy to see why the Greater Springlake Area enjoys a special distinction throughout the region as one of Shreveport's most interesting and attractive neighborhoods.

The purpose of this website is to bring together neighbors in and around the Springlake area, which is roughly bordered by East 70th Street on the north, Bayou Pierre on the east, Line Avenue on the west, and the Inner Loop on the south. This website is produced by volunteers seeking to (re)organize an association of neighbors, whose mission is to preserve and enhance the unique beauty and natural character of the neighborhood.

This website is designed to give you a feel for the history, character and flavor of our special neighborhood, to link you to important resources offered by the City of Shreveport, to keep you informed about current events affecting our neighborhood, and to educate everyone on ways that each one of us can participate to protect and preserve the often intangible quality that makes a house a home.
