Dear Neighbors,
There is a neighborhood-wide Daylight Trick or Treat from 6 - 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31st. We hope that an hour of daylight will allow our trick or treaters an early start (after all, it is a school night). We also hope it encourages more neighbors, who enjoy handing out candy, to have an opportunity to do so when it's still light out. You may even want to join with a neighbor and sit out on the porch and visit while you hand out candy. There will be plenty of families walking and riding on hayrides to wave out to.
Note to families planning hayrides: Here's a quick way to post a sign (ex. "Happy Halloween from the kids on Creswell") on your trailer. Two pieces of posterboard taped together on three sides slips easily over a school yard sign and anchors in a hay bale.
On behalf of all the kids in the neighborhood, thank you for being such wonderful neighbors!
